What Your Impact Will Be: 

Based in Hyderabad, India, this position will report to the Sr. Manager of Global Mobility and will contribute to the delivery and operational support of our global relocation, immigration, and tax services programs. In this role you will be responsible for:

Relocation Support:

  • Support the compensation/assignment package design in alignment with internal mobility policies and global compensation strategy
  • Serve as the Mattel point of contact for employees undergoing relocation within your region(s) throughout the relocation lifecycle.
  • Initiate relocation services with third-party providers,
  • Set initial expectations of relocation policy entitlements and support employees in understanding their benefits and responsibilities.
  • Monitor relocation case progress and vendor performance, escalating to Sr. Manager Global Mobility as needed.
  • Support local payroll teams to ensure accurate reporting for tax purposes, including year-end payroll reporting as required by country-specific regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of relocation processes and documentation, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for enhanced employee experience.
  • Support special projects such as policy benchmarking, vendor evaluations, and relocation program enhancements.

Immigration Support:

  • Coordinate end-to-end immigration case management in partnership with external immigration counsel, including initial assessments, case initiation, and timely status tracking.
  • Monitor relocation case progress and vendor performance, escalating to Sr. Manager Global Mobility as needed.
  • Act as the main liaison for local P&C teams, keeping them informed on visa timelines, next steps, and employee status throughout the immigration process.
  • Distribute regular visa status updates and case reports from external immigration counsel to relevant People & Culture stakeholders to ensure visibility on in-progress matters.

Tax & Payroll Support:

  • Initiate tax services for mobile employees, including tax briefings, tax return preparation
  • Collaborate with external tax providers to facilitate equity income reporting as required,
  • Support the administration of tax equalization and hypothetical tax withholding processes in alignment with company policy.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of shadow payroll reporting for international assignments to ensure compliance with host country tax and social security obligations.
  • Support year-end processes and reconciliations as needed.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience
  • At least 3+ of experience, in relocation, immigration, global mobility tax, or human resources, preferably in a large global organization, with exposure to working with international locations
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to change
  • Proven experience adhering to deadlines, with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communications skills, both interpersonal and writing
  • Strong customer service orientation
