As part of this mission, our French Sales organization plays a central role in shaping and growing our relationships with banks and financial institutions-key players in Mastercard's long-term success. We are looking for a strategic, energetic, and client-focused executive to lead our Financial Institutions (FI) Sales team in France. Based in Paris, this senior leadership role is accountable for driving Mastercard's commercial strategy with banks and financial institutions, coordinating across teams, and ensuring we deliver differentiated value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Team Coordination
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team of relationship managers and sales professionals covering the full spectrum of banks and financial institutions in France (from Tier 1 to regionals and new entrants).
• Coordinate the overall FI commercial strategy by aligning internal stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Delivery to ensure unified execution and client-centric outcomes.
• Establish a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence across the team.
2. Client Engagement & Ecosystem Expertise
• Serve as the primary executive sponsor for strategic FI clients in France, developing deep, trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders.
• Bring a strong understanding of the French banking ecosystem, including regulatory dynamics, digital transformation trends, and competitive pressures.
• Act as a thought partner to clients, proactively identifying opportunities to support their growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
3. Business Development & P&L Accountability
• Own the P&L for the French FI portfolio, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
• Lead complex negotiations and client engagements, from contracting to implementation, across Mastercard's portfolio: Core, Digital, Services, Cybersecurity, Open Banking, and New Payment Flows.
• Drive a structured account planning process, ensuring opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and delivery of short- and long-term targets.
4. Cross-Functional Influence & Internal Advocacy
• Partner closely with European and Global stakeholders to adapt global strategies to local market needs, ensuring France remains a strategic growth engine for Mastercard.
• Provide feedback to influence product development, pricing strategy, and go-to-market priorities based on local insights.
• Represent Mastercard at client forums, public engagements, and industry events to reinforce our leadership position in France.

All About You
• 10+ years of experience in payments, banking, consulting, or technology sales, ideally managing senior client relationships in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in leading teams and delivering complex B2B commercial engagements with top-tier financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of the French financial services ecosystem, including traditional banks, neobanks, and regulatory institutions (e.g., Banque de France, ACPR).
• Strong business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to link client needs to Mastercard's solutions and drive measurable value.
• Outstanding communication, influence, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with C-level executives.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
