Senior Platform Engineer
Overview
- Supports and provides input into the design, architecture, implementation, security and support of large multi-site, multi-vendor MPLS network communication environments.

- Works in a global environment and supports team all over the globe for network implementation
Responsibilities (applicable to both locations):
- Manage and implement network projects.
- Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and MasterCard networks, as well as re-architecting network segments to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
- Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
- Participate in telecommunications-related initiatives.
- Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
- Supports assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.
Additional requirements for Thailand candidates:
- Facilitate day-to-day colocation vendor relationship and coordinate diligently with the remote hands team for racking, cabling, and ongoing support.
- Support for troubleshooting issue in colocation facilities, identify issues and assist stakeholders in timely resolution of same.
- Plan and Assist installation of Data Center infrastructure to support present and future Data Center requirements
- Assist maintaining up to date documentation for Data Center Engineering function
All About You
Knowledge / Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of overall IT experience in the following areas:
- Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless and Security technologies.
- Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications.
- Thorough knowledge of Cisco's product portfolio.
- Thorough knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices.
- Experience in SD-WAN deployment and support, with a focus on Fortinet technologies will be preferred.
Skills/ Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Self-starter with demonstrated listening skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to employ network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.
- General supervision, work may be reviewed after action is taken.
Work Conditions:
- Supports a 7 by 24 Global Network.
- May require occasional travel.
