Overview
Dynamic Yield by Mastercard is looking for a Senior Node.js Developer with strong backend orientation and deep JavaScript/browser expertise.
You should have a passion for scalable, infrastructure, and performance, along with a deep understanding of backend technologies and how they interact with the web.
You'll be involved in the full cycle of software development - from ideation and design to implementation and deployment-while considering performance, observability, and reliability across the stack.
Role
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with development teams and product managers to brainstorm and develop software solutions.
- Leverage your expert-level knowledge of JavaScript and browser internals to support performance optimization and debugging across the stack.
- Lead and contribute to projects involving Kubernetes (K8s), Pods, and containerized deployments.
- Work with Redis, OpenSearch, and AWS services (including S3 and CDN) to support data flow, storage, and delivery at scale.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications and troubleshooting guides.
- Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like Grafana, and contribute to observability and alerting strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement of development practices.
All About You
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, including in-browser behavior, performance tuning, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience working with Kubernetes, Pods, and containerized environments.
- Hands-on experience with Redis, OpenSearch, AWS (S3, CDN), and monitoring tools like Grafana.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and how they interact with backend systems.
- Experience working in production environments with real users and high traffic.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
