Job Description Summary:
The Senior HR Analyst will be a member of the Global People Operations and Insights team, which provides data, analytics, and strategic decision support across multiple business units and regions at Mastercard. This individual will bring experience in building analytics and automation solutions to enable data-driven decisions about talent at Mastercard using various tools and technologies. Competitive candidates will be detail-oriented, execution-focused, and accomplished at identifying opportunities to introduce consistency and scale to analytical outputs within a matrixed organization.

Role
• Own the full development lifecycle-impact analysis, solution design, development, unit testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Develop optimized, user-friendly, and interactive dashboards in Power BI and Tableau tailored to business needs. Ensure consistency in design across reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering team and analysts to define key metrics and ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure clear, up-to-date technical documentation for all solutions and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Support and contribute to dashboard and report migration projects from Tableau to Power BI.
• Follow and promote best practices in dashboard development, including performance tuning, UI/UX standards, and maintainability.
• Work directly with business users and cross-functional teams, catering to their ad-hoc requests from time to time.
• Design and maintain robust data workflows using SQL and Alteryx for end-to-end automation.
• See beyond requestors' asks to understand the root query or challenge for which data are being requested.
• Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data.
All About You
Essentials
• At least 5 years of experience in analytics, with exposure to people data or HR analytics.
• Proven ability to manage the full analytics development cycle-from requirement gathering through to delivery and documentation.
• Expertise in Power BI(is a must) and Tableau, with hands-on experience in performance tuning, DAX, and data modelling.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, Alteryx, R, Excel) for data analysis, scripting, or building automation scripts.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with solid attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Work comfortably with large, complex datasets, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Quick learner with the ability to understand business domains.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BI tools and techniques.
Desirable
• Previous experience in a People Analytics role; experience using HRIS tools like Workday may be beneficial.
• Familiarity with big data processing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) or tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
Education
• Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, management, analytics, or a related discipline.
