Director, Specialist Sales (Western Europe)
Overview:
The Mastercard Move Western Europe team is looking for a Director, Specialist Sales focused on lead the Western European Team driving long-term and short-term strategic initiatives in commercialising Mastercard Move across Western Europe.
The role oversees go-to-market strategy, driving business development/sales (including salesforce training), crafting compelling value propositions and management of the regional P&L, while maintaining a constant alignment with the regional product team and other global CNPF teams to guarantee product's evolutions in line with European markets' needs.
You will lead a high performing team of Specialist Sales Managers. This role could suit a high-performing Director (level 5).
Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead a team across the Western Europe cluster. Develop and drive a sales & execution culture, leading from the front in terms of client engagement and execution of deals and revenues.
• Manages several products and solutions for a market/cluster and provides knowledge of products, services or platform capabilities to support localisation and market enablement.
• Partners with other solutions experts to support CSC value proposition development, with a focus on their local market and/or segment.
• Serves as a go-to expert and supports the development of differentiated products and solutions to meet the needs of Mastercard's clients, within their market and/or segment.
• Models functional knowledge and best practice sharing and provides thought leadership on technology trends and holistic-system thinking to improve solutioning for their clients.
• Identifies complex issues related to products and solutions development for their market and/or segment and recommends improvements to the market's portfolio or solutions strategy.
• Supports initiatives to drive product revenues from their specific group, within their defined market and/or segment.
• Drives competitive analysis and pricing strategy for Mastercard's solutions, and shares findings/analysis with regional product teams.
• Identifies local partners to drive joint initiatives
Experiences:
• Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive results through effective people management and strategic direction.

• Experience executing business development across different payment types, technologies and customer segments
• Experience executing strategies into clear action plans in multiple markets
• Successful track record managing P&L and sales objectives for multiple markets. Sales & results driven individual with an execution focus.
• Knowledge of Cross Border transaction service (Transaction Banking), market economics and dynamics of FX rates is a plus
• Consulting background is a plus, as is consultative selling experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred
• Professional-level English language capability and preferably one other European language (e.g Spanish or Italian).
• Strong presence & communication skills
• Proven team player with ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
