Job Overview:

At Mastercard, we are seeking a highly motivated and driven Director, Digital Product Management to join the Product and Innovation team for Australasia. In this role, you will have end to end ownership of key digital products and the strategy, go to market and localisation across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Act as a senior leader within the Digital team, developing and executing strategic business plans, product roadmaps, and go-to-market strategies for digital products
- Product Ownership: Own the full product with a strong focus on commercialisation, business development, localisation, regulatory compliance, and continuous product improvement.
- Technical Leadership: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead technical and strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders, from initial sale, pre-sales support, implementation to post-launch support.
- Sales Enablement: Craft and communicate differentiated value propositions that resonate with target markets and drive competitive advantage. Deliver compelling sales presentations to clients to drive product adoption and enhance customer digital experiences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global and local teams across sales, marketing, delivery, legal, and technical functions to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
- Marketing Strategy: Collaborate on the planning and execution of product marketing strategies, including product marketing, communication and customer engagement initiatives.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on product performance, key challenges, and support requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experienced in product management, with a strong track record of leading the strategy, development, and successful delivery of complex digital products at scale.
- Deep understanding of software development processes, including APIs, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise system architecture, with the ability to engage confidently with engineering and technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker and self-starter, capable of driving cross-functional initiatives, influencing at the executive level, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated success in leading product launches, scaling digital platforms, and driving market expansion in competitive environments.
- Strong grasp of digital ecosystems, customer-centric design, and emerging technologies, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate within global, cross-functional teams, navigating matrixed environments and diverse stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Strong understanding of local regulatory and localisation requirements in digital product development, particularly in global or highly regulated industries
- Demonstrated capability in business development, including identifying strategic growth opportunities, forming partnerships, and supporting commercial negotiations.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field is a plus but not essential.

Work Conditions:

Domestic and occasional international travel required.
