OVERVIEW

At MasterCard, our Data & Services division empowers customers across diverse sectors such as financial institutions, retail, telecommunications, and travel. We're seeking a Director to drive the launch and evolution of our Portfolio Advisor product within the Consulting & Innovation business.

About Product Management at Mastercard:
As part of our team, you'll shape products and solutions that deliver profound customer value. You'll balance long-term product strategy with current demands, understanding technical, competitive, and commercial landscapes. We collaborate cross-functionally, ensuring commercial success alongside technical excellence, and craft globally-relevant, scalable solutions that cater to diverse customer segments.

ROLE

Jointly own product strategy and roadmap for specific product(s) and work closely with the technical co-owner to:
• Partner with cross-functional teams to set a customer-centric product vision; ensure consistent alignment between business priorities, development objectives and market trends
• Design and evolve product concept: design and conduct user research, including interviews with customers as well as Mastercard/Data & Services subject matter experts in order to deepen understanding of customers' pain points, motivations and opportunities and define/iterate the product roadmap accordingly
• Design and execute communication strategy to achieve activation and sustained product usage
• Drive commercialization, manage P&L, working closely with regional product leads
• Ensure alignment with broader consulting product roadmap by definition of up-/cross-sell opportunities
• Build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure expert customer support outcomes by managing open ticket SLA/prioritization with Practice contributors and subject matter experts

Own the content strategy and roadmap:
• Design and evolve high-quality content, capture user feedback, conduct user testing, define/iterate content roadmap accordingly.
• Develop and manage knowledge framework
• Develop and manage knowledge partners and sources (e.g. ACS, P&E)
• Provide input to business requirements leading to platform enhancements
• Ensure expert customer support outcomes by coordinating and monitoring the timely and high-quality provision of specialist user support in relation to the Ask-an-Expert functionality
• Ensure continuous alignment with/active contribution to Authentication, Authorization & Fraud Practice in Data & Services

ALL ABOUT YOU

• Payments/banking expertise and experience
• Experience in card payment transaction processing, esp. authentication, authorization and fraud prevention
• Experience in strategy consulting for clients in the financial services industry
• Customer centric: strong focus on delivering customer value and experienced in building strong customer relationships
• Natural problem solver: analytical, curious with a "can-do" attitude; solutions-oriented skillset and fact-driven approach to product development
• Collaborative team player: proven track record in collaborating with multiple cross-functional (both internal and external) teams across multiple locations; exceptional in facilitating challenging conversations and managing ambiguity
• Agile product management in consulting products, gathering input for product requirements, market and product plans, marketing research, pricing, business case development
• Organizational skills and project management: ability to deal with multiple and competing priorities, structure and manage work streams, set clear expectations and deadlines, manage financials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to engage and influence at all levels, make the complex simple and interface with senior leadership
• Passion for technology and leveraging it to solve complex challenges
• Experience in managing analytical solutions designed for payments or related financial services sectors preferred
• Experience in designing, executing and distilling user research to drive value for the customer, an outstanding user experience and stickiness a plus
