Title and Summary

Associate Accountant

Overview
The LAC Controllers team is established to promote strong financial stewardship across the business, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results through disciplined practices and rigorous oversight. The team also upholds a robust internal control environment by driving operational excellence. In this job you'll ensure alignment, accuracy and consistency of statutory books and oracle for all legal entities in the region.
Role Description:
• On-going review of intercompany activity and determine courses of action in coordination with legal and tax personnel,
• Analyze GAAP differences and determine appropriateness, errors needing correction, or identify timing differences,
• Align statutory books with Oracle on both a historical and go forward basis,
• Participate in monthly financial close process
• Special projects as needed.

All about you:
• University degree in accounting
• Relevant experience in a Controllership or Accounting role (not Finance or FP&A)
• Advanced knowledge of common analysis & modeling tools (Excel, Hyperion) as well as database management
• Problem solver and a strong team player with an eye for detail and focus on accuracy
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
• Works well under pressure, naturally curious and a fast learner
• Potential to grow into a Senior Controllership Accountant or managerial role in the near future
