Assistant Lumber Yard Manager - Located in Warroad, MN

Job Overview:

The Marvin Home Center (MHC), located in Warroad, MN, is seeking an Assistant Lumber Yard Manager with a strong background in customer service, leadership skills, and solid inventory management experience. In this role, you’ll lead a team of lumberyard associates and delivery drivers to deliver outstanding service in a safe and efficient environment. You’ll be expected to model integrity and professionalism in every interaction—with customers, team members, and leadership.

Highlights of your role:

• Support the Yard Manager in leading and training associates, ensuring strong performance and excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lumberyard and delivery sites, while being responsible for inventory and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with the Building and Construction Manager on product selection, merchandising, and inventory levels.
• Assist customers from start to finish and lead the team in meeting delivery deadlines and resolving service issues.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):

• Bring a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate a team.
• Communicate clearly and professionally while handling customer service and on-the-job challenges.
• Operate delivery equipment like forklifts and bobcats, and are able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Obtain a CDL (Class A preferred) and a U.S. Passport with legal access to Canada within a reasonable timeframe.
