What are we looking for?

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, accounting, or finance from an accredited university required

Knowledge / Experience

  • Proven experience in tax technology, with a strong understanding of tax software applications and platforms, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Desire to leverage AI to optimize tax processes.
  • Experience in data analytics systems (Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau), preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R, with experience in data manipulation and analysis, preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze existing tax processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Develop and implement technology-driven solutions to streamline tax workflows and reduce manual intervention.
  • Collaborate with tax professionals to understand their needs and requirements, tailoring technology solutions to meet their specific objectives.

Technology Integration:

  • Evaluate and select technology solutions to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Integrate tax software applications with existing systems to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless implementation and integration of tax technology solutions.

System Maintenance and Support:

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for tax software applications, troubleshooting issues and resolving technical challenges.
  • Monitor system performance and implement upgrades or enhancements as needed to optimize functionality.

Intellectual Curiosity, Training and Documentation:

  • Be intellectually curious in tax technical matters and partner with experienced tax professionals to learn tax law and tax accounting.
  • Provide training and support to tax professionals and staff on the use of tax technology tools and platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including user guides and training materials, to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure effective utilization of technology solutions.
