Job Description:
The Processing Mill Operator provides Mars Petcare with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely Batch/mix raw materials to high-quality product; and efficiently receive, test, analyze, and process raw ingredients.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability and willingness to develop and manage self, demonstrate self-directed workgroup leadership, and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate forklifts in a safe manner.
- Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high and/or confined spaces and have full mobility with ability to climb ladders and stairs.

What will be your key responsibilities?
- Sampling of all incoming raw materials
- Visually inspect incoming commodities and take appropriate action on issues such as infestation, pests, mold, or any other quality issue
- Perform required quality testing
- FOSS Analyzer and lab equipment operation
- Receiving and Quality systems database interfacing
- Ensure adherence to all site food safety and security practices
- Actively address food safety and quality concerns.
- Unloading of all incoming raw materials
- Major bin strategy coordination
- Hardstock grinder management
- Batching System Operation
- Meet cut-off and tonnes requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity
- Improve operations through individual and group problem solving
- Actively address food safety and quality concerns
- Other duties as assigned
