Shift: Nights

Location: Mars Petcare (Temple, Texas)

The Inventory and Replenishment Handler is responsible for managing inventories of micro-ingredients and packaging material warehouses. This role will ensure that all inventories are correct and accurately recorded in PRMS and tracking systems. Ensure efficiency, micro ingredient and packaging quality, and continuous improvement. The Inventory and Replenishment Handler must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates as needed. This job requires strong communication and computer skills and working independently to support site objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within an area

• Communicate with line and logistics operators to ensure materials are replenished promptly.

• Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level

• Unloads and stores raw materials as well as packaging materials

• Manage FIFO program regarding materials management

• Maintains accurate records of tracking systems

• Performs all shift support documentation in a quality matter

• Performs QC tasks such as taking micro samples, inspecting date codes, item numbers, etc.

• Set appropriate supply policies to manage inventory and deployment of materials

• Handles disposition of aged, held, or closeout materials

• Interface with BRN associates on any supply issues

• Demonstrates a high degree of ownership for stock levels and quality of the raw material and packaging material inventories.

• Understand production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions, and inventories.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

• Standing on a concrete floor

• Operate forklift

• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)

• Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be 18 years of age or older

• Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education

• Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules

• Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Inventory control principles

• Two years of work experience within manufacturing or a technical and/or trade discipline

• Demonstrated competency in computer and PC software, including MS Office, AS400, and Lotus Notes
