Adobe is the industry leader in Experience Management. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) helps our customers design, manage, and deliver high-quality digital experiences for the world's biggest brands.
The Cloud Persistence team is part of the Cloud Foundation team providing mission critical infrastructure and components to AEM Cloud Service. Our mission is to enable customers to accelerate the creation, retrieval, and delivery of content needed for customized, high-quality digital experiences.
The Cloud Persistence team is building and operating the cloud native storage for AEM Cloud Service, aiming for delivering stunning experiences for our customers by ensuring consistency, durability, and low latency for content creation and delivery in a distributed environment. Operating at scale and growing fast, we manage thousands of databases and storage accounts holding terabytes of data.
To grow our team in Bucharest, we are looking for exceptionally talented and ambitious software developer engineers passionate about further developing and operating mission critical storage technology.
What you'll do
- Take ownership of development and operations of mission critical storage components
- Scale the persistence layer to support future growth of our customer base
- Solve innovative scalability and operational challenges in a business that is rapidly growing, serving millions of users worldwide
- Work closely with product managers and users to translate business requirements into design and implementation choices.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science with at 5 years of industry experience
- Strong programming skills in Java and distributed systems
- Meticulous and able to implement optimized, modular and asynchronous solutions
- General database experience, both SQL and NoSQL
- Comfortable in collaborating with co-located and distributed development teams
- Good written and spoken English language
Preferred qualifications
- Storage technology experience such as MongoDB and/or Azure Blob Storage
- Strong understanding of JVM basics (e.g., garbage collection, concurrency, memory management)
- Experience working with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience developing large-scale, distributed applications
- Open Source experience
