Our client, operates in the automotive industry, specifically within the commercial vehicle manufacturing sector is seeking a Technical Support Technician to join their team.  

Job Title: Technical Support Technician

Location: Portland, OR

Summary of the Position: This role is responsible for supporting the DTNA Dealer Network, Fleets, End Users, and internal customers through calls, emails, and electronic ticket submissions. The focus will be on Freightliner and Western Star chassis support. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and electronic tickets from dealers, end users, and internal teams regarding technical service or service parts issues.

  • Provide courteous, professional, and timely assistance to all customers. 

  • Leverage technical literature, documentation, and internal databases to resolve support inquiries. 

  • Maintain detailed and accurate call logs and service notes. 

  • Interpret and communicate data from Virtual Technician telematics to end users. 

  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate departments or specialists. 

  • Ensure all DTNA Safety and Compliance procedures are followed; route compliance-related issues to the Compliance department. 

  • Work flexible hours including holidays, alternate shifts, and provide after-hours support when needed. 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and project teams to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree in a related field or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. 

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset. 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in a technical or related field. 

  • Experience as a Diesel Technician or in a related technical support environment. 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Five9, or similar CRM and ticketing systems (training available if no prior experience).
