Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The Mechanical Process Engineer will  provide production support to fabrication, machining, and assembly areas while designing and improving mechanical components, tooling, and systems. Your expertise will ensure designs meet engineering standards, manufacturability requirements, and customer expectations.

 

Job Title: Mechanical Process Engineer

Location: Birmingham, AL

What’s the Job?

• Provide production support to fabrication, machining, and assembly areas.
• Sketch rough design layouts for mechanical components and systems.
•  Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design problems.
• Evaluate design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
• Use CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) to develop parts, assemblies, and drawings.

 

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
•  3+ years mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing environments.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD drafting tools.
• Experience with machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
