Environmental Project Manager 

Location: Williston, VT
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 per year 
 

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager with 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting to lead a variety of technical projects. This role involves project planning, field oversight, technical report development, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff. Ideal candidates will have strong remedial design and site investigation experience, along with excellent communication skills.

  • Manage environmental projects from initial planning through execution and closure

  • Oversee remedial system design and implementation (e.g., SVE, ISCO, pump & treat)

  • Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

  • Lead subsurface investigations including drilling, sampling, and hydrogeological studies

  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and regulatory documentation

  • Serve as a client liaison and lead project meetings with stakeholders

  • Supervise and mentor project engineers and field staff

  • Support business development through proposals and client engagement


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or site remediation

  • Proficiency in site characterization, remedial technologies, and regulatory compliance

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally

  • Must be able to work on-site in Williston, VT


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional license (PE or PG) or eligibility to obtain

  • Familiarity with Vermont and federal environmental regulations (VT DEC, EPA, ASTM)

  • Experience using GIS, AutoCAD, or environmental modeling tools

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
