System Administrator
Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections is seeking a System Administrator. This Temp-Perm position will work developing, implementing and managing information systems. The position will support the IT Director by assisting with developing and adhering to workplans, by managing, coordinating and implementing projects or components of projects.
Job Title: System Administrator
Location: Tampa ONSITE
Pay Range: $35/hr
What's the Job?
- Responsible for setting up, managing, and resolving issues related to routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
- Maintain corporate infrastructure, ensuring continuous systems availability across networks, hardware, and software.
- Monitor the system daily and respond quickly to any security or usability concerns.
- Manage LAN/WAN security at multiple locations and recommend upper-level IT solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software for employees across various locations.
What's Needed?
- 4 years of direct supervisory/management experience or a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability and willingness to lead teams and work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of information technology infrastructure development, standards, and protocols.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with VMware and Microsoft Server Software.
- Expert knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities.
