Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Clerk – IT Focus to join their team. As a Purchasing & Logistics Clerk, you will be responsible for entering high volumes of purchase orders (POs) into the internal system, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple data sources, and monitoring the receipt of IT-related materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in the IT industry with the ability to understand what they are ordering and recognize hardware during receipt. They should also have hands-on experience working with warehouse or receiving teams to validate and track incoming shipments. A strong understanding of procurement processes, material flow, and basic MRP principles—combined with advanced Excel and Outlook skills—is essential for success in this role.

Job Title: Purchasing & Logistics Clerk – IT Focus
Location: Plano, TX - On-site (NOT remote))
Pay Range: $22 - $24++/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday; day shift
Job Type: Temp-to-hire


What’s the Job?

  • Create and manage purchase orders, especially for IT-related materials
  • Track inbound shipments and coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams
  • Verify and receive incoming items, ensuring they match orders
  • Resolve PO or shipping issues quickly and accurately
  • Maintain records using Excel and MRP/ERP systems
  • Support logistics and process improvement efforts 



What’s Needed?

  • 1+ year in purchasing, logistics, or warehouse support (IT experience STRONGLY preferred)
  • Experience working with warehouse or receiving teams to validate incoming materials
  • Strong Excel and data management skills
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Acumatica, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to problem-solve under pressure
  • Effective communicator who understands material flow and warehouse operations
