IT Support Specialist

Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their dedicated team. As an IT Support Specialist , you will play a vital role in ensuring our electoral processes accuracy, efficiency, and integrity. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong oral and written communication skills, and can work in a team to support the task necessary for the successful execution of the elections.

 

Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Tampa, FL

Pay Range: $22/Hour

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm with the availability to work earlier, later and weekends

 

Illustrative Job Duties

• Provide technical assistance integrating new applications and technologies into the system. 
• Setup and deploy new computer systems, including hardware, software, and system access, and perform routine maintenance to include desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Monitor, track and respond to helpdesk as requests are made. Escalate situations to management requiring urgent attention.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting as required, including assist with organization video, badge access security, and phone system.
• Assist with onsite servicing, preparation, testing and setup early voting equipment. Provide troubleshooting network connections and end user support to early voting suites.

 

Job qualifications

• 2 years direct supervisory/management experience or an Associate's Degree from an accredited two-year degree granting college or university.
• Hands-on experience with the installation and uses of Microsoft Products such as office suites (2016 to 2022 and O365 versions), active directory, computer Hardware and Software troubleshooting, basic network appliances.
• Self-motivated and team oriented.
• Possession of a valid and current FL Driver License with no more than seven points.
