Supply Chain Field Operations Internship (Location: Pleasant View, TN) - Summer 2026
Your Impact
As a Supply Chain Operations Intern at Lowe's, you'll experience firsthand how our distribution centers keep a Fortune 50 company running efficiently. You'll be part of the team that ensures products move smoothly from our suppliers to our shelves, learning how strategy, logistics, and safety intersect every day. If you're passionate about solving problems, streamlining processes, and seeing tangible results from your efforts, this internship offers the perfect launching pad for your career in supply chain management.
In this internship, you will have the opportunity to shadow an Operations Supervisor, who is accountable for leading a high-performing team and ensuring that product is handled safely, efficiently, and effectively as it moves through the facility. You'll observe how the Supervisor monitors production volume and assigns tasks involving receiving, put away, picking, or shipping product (including appliances), and supports Team Members through daily workflow coordination.
You'll gain insight into how a culture of safety is built through mentorship and leadership, as well as how real-time data analysis guides operations. The internship will expose you to operational reporting and show you how decisions are made to respond to workflow changes-like prioritizing product or managing demand drops. This hands-on experience will build your understanding of what it takes to lead and optimize a fast-paced supply chain environment.
