The Merchandising Support Senior Specialist works in one of the functional areas of Merchandising Support to facilitate the operational strategy and serve as subject matter expert of the merchandising organization. The responsibilities of the merchandising support senior specialist include interpretation and execution of process and projects within their functional area. Key functional areas within the merchandising support organization include operational support, communications, capacity management, and reporting. Responsibilities may vary based on the area of work.

What you will do
• Support the timely and efficient execution of the merchandising support strategy via execution of processes and projects creating and maintaining operational SOPs and designing of tools and techniques. Including assistance planning key stakeholder meetings or presentations, communication and issue resolution on operational processes, and efficient maintenance of communication resources.

• Utilize understanding of larger operational strategies of merchandising and merchandising support to provide operational support and information. Requires ability to discern message and requisite action(s) needed across varying audiences and partners.
• Review data and trends and initiate efforts in root cause analysis regarding opportunity for resolution or improved process that will impact the key stakeholders within the merchandising organization. Exercise judgment in the delivery of findings with the merchandising support team and key stakeholders or taking appropriate business action to resolve.
• Provide operational support via communications, support mailboxes, and content creation across varying roles and levels. May include issue resolution, content planning based on operational calendar, or communication vehicle selection based on topic and audience.
• Provide qualitative data (focus groups, cross functional council sessions, surveys) and infer insights regarding communication relevancy, effectiveness, and value to support alignment between merchandising support team and key stakeholders.
• Responsible for creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and job aids.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, Communiations or related field
• 1 year of relevant business experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) or related business software
• Experience working with project teams and working cross-functionally

Preferred Skill/Education
• Corporate experience in a large organization, preferably retail
