Your Impact:

The Sr Product Designer, Spatial Computing plays a key role in design decisions and leads the tactical UX/UI and design work associated with 3D experiences designed for spatial computing hardware and software platforms. This includes responsibility for delivering user flows, wireframes, interactive 3D prototypes, 2D UI elements, and presentations. The Sr Product Designer works with designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver assigned design projects promptly and efficiently. This role requires expertise in spatial computing and traditional mobile interfaces and realizing designs via hands-on usage of 3D game engines, to design seamless, engaging, and accessible interactions in 3D environments and mobile applications.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and implement intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces for spatial applications, VR/AR, immersive environments, and smartphone applications.
  • Develop and refine UI components that support touchless interactions, including eye-tracking, hand gestures, and voice, ensuring seamless integration with spatial environments.
  • Ensure cohesive user experiences from concept to final implementation across both 3D and 2D platforms in collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools and game engines to create UI components that function within dynamic 3D spaces while maintaining consistency with 2D interfaces.
  • Develop interactive prototypes and conduct usability testing to gather insights and iterate on designs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in spatial UI/UX design, 3D visualization, game engine technologies, and mobile device design patterns.
  • Create spatial UI systems that provide clear visual hierarchies, ease of interaction, and immersion, as well as polished 2D interfaces for mobile applications.
  • Contribute to shipping high-quality products, ensuring UI/UX designs align with technical feasibility and performance constraints.
  • Deliver quality, timely deliverables such as presentations, interactive prototypes, UX maps, UI elements, wireframes, and production work to leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Coach, guide, and mentor more junior level team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in interaction design, graphic design, game design, industrial design, or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 years of experience in 3D design, UI/UX, and game engine-based interface development.
  • Proven track record of shipping at least one software title within one of the following categories: games, VR/AR, entertainment or immersive retail
  • Strong proficiency with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, NVIDIA Omniverse, Reality Composer Pro) and 3D modeling tools.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, interaction design, and human-centered design in 3D environments and 2D platforms (especially iOS).
  • Proficiency in 2D design tools.
  • Experience with prototyping and usability testing tools.

Preferred Skills/Education:

  • Experience with iOS UI design, including knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and iOS design patterns.
  • Experience designing touchless UI interactions, including eye-tracking, hand gestures, and voice commands.

Pay Range: $95,100.00 - $180,700.00 annually
