The Sr Mgr-Store Optimization serves as the enterprise-wide leader for all store optimization strategy, space planning, and customer-centric merchandising execution. This role oversees the total portfolio of store optimization initiatives across all business areas, with direct leadership over Managers, Planners-Store Optimization.

This position is responsible for defining the strategic vision, prioritization framework, and long-term roadmap that guide all productivity and localization efforts enterprise wide. The Sr Mgr synthesizes complex data insights, operational feedback, and regional nuances to deliver holistic, customer-focused strategies that enhance product presentation, drive category growth, and elevate the in-store experience.

By spearheading cross-functional collaboration across Merchandising, Visual, Planogram, Finance, Assortment Planning, and Store Operations, this leader ensures optimization strategies are scalable,

future-focused and aligned with corporate financial and merchandising goals. The Sr Mgr serves as the enterprise thought leader and change agent, guiding strategic transformation, innovation, and

best practice implementation across Lowe's diverse store footprint.

What You Will Do
• Serve as the strategic architect and portfolio lead for all store optimization activities across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and financial performance metrics. Guiding the development of future-state optimization strategies, integrating emerging space trends, localization insights, customer behavior analytics, and competitive intelligence.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional partners in Merchandising, Assortment Planning, Visual, Planogram, Finance, Project Planning, and Store Operations to align store strategies with broader business objectives and initiatives.
• Present optimization roadmaps, business case justifications, and initiative performance results to executive leadership, influencing investment decisions and long-term space planning.
• Lead multi-category, multi-divisional optimization strategies that span store formats, customer segments, and regional differences.
• Ensure project interdependencies, capacity planning, and risk management are proactively managed across teams.
• Oversee the end-to-end execution of a comprehensive portfolio of store optimization initiatives across all business units, ensuring proper resource allocation, timeline adherence, and impact measurement.
• Lead and develop a high-performing organization of Managers and Planners, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Providing mentorship, performance coaching, and career development pathways that enable future enterprise leaders within the Store Optimization team.
• Champion continuous improvement, scalability, and standardization across people, process, and technology within the optimization function.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Retail Management, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience

• 8-10 Years Experience in retail store planning and design (may be a combination of merchandising, visual merchandising, store planning, planogramming, assortment planning or store environment experiences)
• 8-10 Years Working in Retail Environment
• 8-10 Years Experience executing on project plans in a cross-functional environment
• 8-10 Years Strong Business Acumen with an understanding of how store and space optimization can influence results of various functions across the organization
• 5-7 Years Experience with assortment and/or space planning (e.g. categories, products, processes, etc.)
• 5-7 Years Experience working for a large retail organization, preferably in Merchandising, Store Planning, or Store Operations
• 5-7 Years Retail space store clustering
