Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a writer in support of the executive leadership team, crafting and editing messaging for a variety of internal/external events and speaking opportunities to shape the Lowe's story. This position develops relationships with leaders at all levels in the company, including on the executive leadership team. The role serves to make business priorities and strategies easy to understand, communicating them in a way that resonates and drives results.
What you will do
- Consults with executives and other leaders from various business functions and serves as a communications subject matter expert, providing strategic and tactical insights used in maximizing communication efforts.
- Manages end-to-end creation of written content for large company events (in-person, virtual and hybrid) by engaging key stakeholders to identify content needs and working cross-functionally to compose scripts and establish narratives to effectively communicate the message of Lowe's and the mission, values and culture of the brand.
- Works cross-functionally within corporate communications and with business subject matter experts across the company to ideate and build out creative elements that enhance messaging in corporate events and across Lowe's internal communications channels.
- Crafts scripts, talking points and other materials for senior and executive leaders, up to and including the CEO, and supports and coaches senior and executive leaders as they prepare for speaking opportunities.
- Maintains updated expertise on writing (including in multiple voices), executive messaging, and communications development in order to contribute knowledge to a multitude of related communications projects.
- Writes, reviews, edits, and approves content to ensure its effective delivery via multiple communications vehicles, while ensuring relevancy and appeal to impacted audiences.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Journalism or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in a Communications role or industry, to include speechwriting for corporate leaders
Preferred Skills/Education
- Master's Degree in Communications, English, Journalism or equivalent experience
- 8 years specific communications experience in a corporate role within a large organization, preferably retail
