Associate Merchant - Lowe's PRO Supply

Job Summary

The Associate Merchant will analyze sales data, collaborate with suppliers, and engage with cross-functional teams to optimize product offerings and drive customer satisfaction. The Associate Merchant will own and manage a product assortment and category under the leadership of a merchant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and manage the product assortment for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to provide insights on product performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Maintains communication with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and address any inquiries or issues related to inventory.
  • Monitors inventory levels and assist in replenishment planning to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
  • Conducts market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings that inform product decisions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and supply chain, to support promotional strategies and ensure effective execution of merchandising initiatives.
  • Gathers and analyzes customer feedback to inform product decisions and improve overall offerings.
  • Maintains accurate records of pricing, product specifications, and supplier agreements, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, retail, or supply chain management; experience in a relevant sector is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
