The Product Strategist will be responsible for leading and executing on product development and product enhancement initiatives spanning our Fixed Income, Equity, and Alternatives capabilities.  By collaborating closely with teams across Investments, Client Services, and Core Services, you will play an integral role in ensuring that Lord Abbett continues to generate strong organic growth by offering world-class products to investors in the distribution markets we serve.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the evolving investment needs and behaviors of investors across the U.S. Retail, U.S. Institutional, and International (non-U.S.) distribution markets
  • Partner with teams across Investments, Client Services, and Core Services to drive consensus on product development opportunities and enhancements to existing products
  • Lead cross-functional groups in the implementations of product development and product enhancement initiatives
  • Optimize our strategic approaches to vehicle offerings and product pricing
  • Play an active role in the construction of product-related proposals and briefings for key internal and external stakeholders e.g. the Lord Abbett Investment Committee and the Boards of Directors for our Mutual Funds and UCITS complexes

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 10-15 years of industry experience, preferably with an asset manager, institutional asset owner, or institutional consultant
  • Strong understanding of traditional and alternative investment strategies and capital markets
  • Deep knowledge of product vehicles (e.g. mutual funds, interval funds, ETFs, institutional separate accounts, collective investment trusts, UCITS, etc.)
  • Experience in buy-side product development and/or manager evaluation
  • Proven ability to unify cross-functional teams in pursuit of common objectives
  • The ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear, concise, and effective manner
  • Poise, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to execute with urgency
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree or relevant industry designation preferred (e.g. CFA, CAIA, FRM)

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
