Job Overview:

 

Lord Abbett is looking to add an Equity Trader to analyze and trade cash equities, convertible securities, and equity derivatives across all investment products.

We’ll trust you to:

 

  • Fulfill our fiduciary responsibility to strive for best execution on all transactions
  • Identify investment opportunities and recommend investment ideas to all relevant portfolio managers
  • Proactively interact with PMs and Research Analysts while evaluating investment ideas and opportunities
  • Gather and disseminate relevant market intelligence to investment teams
  • Determine and convey market dynamics to contribute to investment performance
  • Proactively interact with fellow fixed income and equity traders to promote collaboration and market awareness
  • Shared responsibility in providing periodic coverage for our international equity traders
  • Continuously evaluate the market to discover ways to add value through alternative trading tools and products
  • Manage and enhance counter-party relationships

You'll need to have:

  • 5+ years of trading experience in equities and/or convertibles/equity derivatives
  • International equity trading experience preferred
  • Deep market knowledge with relative value skills
  • Proficient in Bloomberg, Kynex, electronic trading platforms, Microsoft Excel
  • Buy-side experience preferred; sell-side experience may be considered
  • Rigorous academic background
  • Bachelor's Degree required, CFA or MBA is a plus

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
