Position: Strategic Partnerships Project Manager (Freelance)

Team: Advancement & Innovation

Schedule: May-August; 24 hours/week (Weds, Thurs & Sat)

Role Overview: Reporting to the Associate Director, Business Development, and working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Senior Manager, the Strategic Partnerships Associate (Freelance) will primarily support the Business Development & Innovation (BDI) team leads in post-agreement partnership management and execution specifically for Lincoln Center's Summer for the City Festival, which takes place from mid-June through mid-August. The ideal candidate will be flexible, creative, collaborative, nimble, and detail oriented. The BDI function of Advancement & Innovation is responsible for building opportunities that will attract best-in-class sponsors and individual contributors. We are looking for a dynamic colleague who brings excellent organizational skills, project management experience, events/sponsorship experience, and strong communications skills to our team. The leading candidate will be a detail-oriented executor who approaches partnership execution in a thoughtful way, bringing rich and synergistic deals to life in ways that exceed our partner expectations.

You'll Be a Great Fit if You Bring:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in marketing, sponsorship/partnership packaging, events, and execution
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive, can-do attitude - we are builders!
  • Passion for the non-profit world, especially the performing arts
  • Professional approach to client/sponsor relationship management
  • Experience in effectively interpreting and activating agreements/contracts (post-sale execution)
  • Incredible organizational skills with a keen sense for detail, upkeeping sponsorship components internally on Monday.com and externally via sponsor facing timelines
  • Strong ability to collaborate with Business Development leads to efficiently manage multiple projects and sponsors simultaneously, executing all components of various deal memos and agreements
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key LCPA teams to ensure that all goals are met regarding impeccable program delivery and key results for our sponsors (Market, Social Media, PR, Legal, Campus Operations, Programming, Education)
  • Collaborate with and support all on-site sponsor activities with venues, custom events, artist experiences, and hospitality programs including coordination with venue staff, Programming and operational/logistics teams
  • Passion for event and sponsorship execution as this role will require your expertise and attendance on-site for activation and execution of sponsorships
  • Strong external facing skills, attending meetings with Business Development leads in post-sale mode, engaging with sponsors and contributing to the strengthening of these crucial relationships
  • Strategically manage partnership budgets with Business Development co-leads (pricing, sourcing, critical margins, etc.)
  • Industry curiosity with consistent pulse on the arts, sponsorship investments/integrations, tech innovation, and more, bringing fresh and relevant ideas and market trends forward
