Role Overview

Reporting to the Director - Campus Relations, the Campus Relations Manager is responsible for co-conceiving, implementing, and maintaining superior care standards at all points of constituent and operational interface at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA). This work will consist of collaborating with key stakeholders, helping to support the objectives established by the Dept. of Campus Relations, actively adapting practices to balance guest primacy, event operation, and the institutional mission. This position plays a vital role of implementing strategy and logistics, supporting the department directors, and leading initiatives to maintain the institution's Campus Engagement. In this role, the Campus Relations Manager is also charged with managing events in the public areas, the Rose Building, and in the ancillary spaces from the Operations perspective, and will work in tandem with Event Production and Guest Experience to ensure campus impacts are mitigated. Furthermore, the Campus Relations Manager has the responsibility of developing and maintaining systems which support the day-to-day tasks of Lincoln Center's operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily logistics across the campus in support of Lincoln Center and its constituents.
  • Assist the Director of Campus Relations with the maintenance and upkeep of the Public Areas.
  • Organize and oversee the day-to-day operations of the LCPA owned and operated event spaces, the work order system, and all campus wide relationships.
  • Provide logistical coordination between operations and event and performance teams.
  • Work in tandem with LCPA's IT department to build, develop, and maintain a Work Order system that allows for Lincoln Center's departments and constituents to report the operational needs.
  • Facilitate work orders that are submitted to the operations department to ensure proper assignment and execution and provide updates on each order submitted.
  • Assist with training and supervising staff responsible for operating the Work Order system.
  • Manage and maintain department calendar for constituent activities
  • Create weekly event operations requests informing all the event needs for activities occurring on Lincoln Center's campus.
  • At pre/post-event, input and reconcile all billing (porters, electricians, engineers, etc.)
  • Assist the Director of Campus Relations with the summer festival logistics, oversight, and operational needs.
  • Provide on-site operational support for Campus Relations, including tenant interface, maintenance coordination and signage.
  • Direct porters, trades, and event operations coordinators during events and other activities to ensure that objectives are successfully executed.
  • Work in collaboration with General Management/Venue Sales, Event Production, House Managers, and LCPA Security to review all operational logistics and impacts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact on behalf of Campus Relations to oversee public area events / activations ensuring that all logistics / protocols are adhered to for client/constituent execution.
  • Coordinates the use of the assets governed by the Dept. of Campus Relations, maintaining/logging all active inventory, and cross-checking for suitable working/deployment conditions in support of operations and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Has a strong knowledge and comprehensive understanding of event operations, logistics, and arts administration
  • Must have experience working with service-oriented teams
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs. and moving around the Lincoln Center campus with members of the Operations and Facility teams.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to relate and communicate to all levels.
