The Talent Management Team is hiring a Talent Recruiter for an immediate start in Northwest Indiana. This is a full-time position. The Talent Management Team is based out of the Chicago-land area, so candidates located near Chicago or in close proximity to the schools in Gary and East Chicago, Indiana will be highly considered. VISION FOR POSITION
The Talent Recruiter leads the staff recruitment process on behalf of the LHA network and works to understand school's hiring needs. The Talent Recruiter is a member of the Talent Team who strategically identifies talent, conveys key messages about the network, and motivates prospects to apply to LHA. The Talent Recruiter is an expert in recruitment best practices and exemplary relationship building. The Talent Recruiter is instrumental in staffing schools with highly effective teachers and leaders and strives to fill positions in an expedited manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Talent Recruiter supports the realization of the mission and vision at Lighthouse Academies' schools by leading the recruitment of committed and relentless educators who possess a proven track record of success. The Talent Recruiter's actions must always be aligned with our mission, vision, and core values. The essential functions for the Talent Recruiter are as follows:

TALENT RECRUITMENT AND OUTREACH
• Drive an aggressive annual recruitment campaign that results in 200+ new hires including teachers and school leaders.
• Devise new, innovative approaches to source highly effective talent for open teacher and leader positions.
• Implement recruitment practices that increase the talent and quality of the applicant pool, including leading online information sessions, reviewing resumes, sending targeted emails, and conducting cultivation calls with top prospects.
• Conduct extensive outreach and cultivation via phone, email correspondence, and in-person meetings with candidates from undergraduate and graduate schools, service organizations, and strategic partners (i.e., TFA, Teaching Fellows, Transition to Teaching programs, Summer Principals Academy) to build Lighthouse Academies' visibility and to attract candidates. Connect candidates with hiring managers to start cultivation process.
• Demonstrate and articulate a thorough understanding of Lighthouse Academies' schools and communicates enthusiastically to candidates about what makes Lighthouse Academies unique.
• Work closely with Regional Vice Presidents and Principals to develop a comprehensive teacher recruitment strategy that is unique to each city/region.
• Understand the hiring manager's vision for talent to ensure the best candidates are presented for every position within the organization.
• In collaboration with the hiring manager, oversee conversion of cultivated candidates from first contact to application to joining the team.
• Manage recruitment database and analyze recruitment reports on a regular basis.
• Monitor Hirebridge, the applicant tracking system, and use reports to monitor the status of recruits.

PARTNER COMMUNICATION AND OUTREACH EVENTS
• Manage national partnerships to increase the recognition of the Lighthouse Academies' brand among their networks.
• Work with the Talent Operations Manager to identify key colleges and universities, as well as non-traditional teacher preparation programs with outstanding reputations, for outreach; forge formal and informal partnerships.
• Set up and lead in-person and online information sessions, events, in-class presentations and other promotional opportunities with strategic partners in order to recruit candidates.
• Attend networking events to meet prospective candidates, inform them about opportunities with LHA, and influence and motivate them to apply.
• Maintain on-going communication with strategic partners to yield prospects for leadership positions.
• Attend career fairs and recruitment events outside of LHA regions targeted at high profile candidates to build name recognition among talented candidates. Track success of career fairs in order to drive future strategy.

• Collaborate with colleagues (Lighthouse Academies'' staff and external recruiters) to continuously improve personal practice and to support the achievement of the overall goals and mission of the school and the network.

Skills/Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education or Teaching preferred
• 1-2 years of urban teaching or recruitment experience required
