Lighthouse Academies Paraprofessionals provide direct service to scholars under the direction of the teacher. The direct instruction is delivered in a classroom, media center, laboratory, and other settings. Consultation with teachers, parents, other professionals, and agencies may take place outside of the school.

Skills/Requirements
Required Qualifications:
• 48 credit hours of college coursework or 2 years of college
• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional; experience with autistic scholars a plus
• Oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; personal organization skills.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and statutes.
• Understanding of the basic principles of explicit instruction and scholar engagement; knowledge of theory and practice of scholar learning styles.
• Computer skills including word processing, database, and spreadsheet
