About our Platform Engineering opportunity

Liftoff’s Platform team is the core of Liftoff’s success. Our group is responsible for architecting and building our entire platform infrastructure that handles billions of events per day and is growing exponentially. We’re an innovative engineering team, utilizing the latest technology in order to build efficient and high scale systems. Location

Our Beijing office is locate in Guomao (Yintai Building). Team members work a minimum of 3 days/week in office.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and work with various product management, development and quality assurance groups in a fast-paced environment
  • Design, engineer & implement highly-available, fault-tolerant, distributed systems enhancing our real-time bidding system
  • Focusing on code readability, performance, testing, documentation, continuous integration
  • Become familiar with core development, product release and its business
  • Implementing new features and streamlining existing services
  • Minimizing complexity and increasing shared understanding
  • Mentor and share knowledge with team members.
  • PagerDuty on-call rotation

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science with 5+ years professional experience; or
    MS in Computer Science with 3+ years of professional experience; or
    PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Golang (preferable), C/C++, Java
  • Experience building low-latency, high-throughput, distributed backend services
  • Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms
  • Knowledge of profiling and debugging distributed microservices
  • Experience building data-intensive applications.
  • Experience with distributed system observability metrics, using it for data driven design decisions
  • Have good team communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passionate about helping others and invested in the team’s success
  • Good at English (oral, writing, reading)

Liftoff's compensation strategy includes competitive market rate along with equity and benefits and perks that will give our employees what they need to do their best work.  In order to ensure teams are compensated fairly for the work performed, we map out specific levels and take into consideration the cost of labor within each location.

The preferred location for this role is Beijing.

The TCC (Total Cash Compensation) for this role is RMB 350,000 - 484,000 annually.
