Liberty Mutual's Procurement Organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Vendor Operations, to play a critical role in leading the engagement with third-party technology labor vendors and managing strategic partnerships with these vendors and business partners. This senior-level individual contributor position demands executive-level interaction and collaboration, ensuring alignment with Liberty Mutual's strategic objectives. The Senior Manager will implement and manage vendor standards and procedures, analyze key performance metrics to guarantee vendor effectiveness, and drive supply management strategies that deliver substantial value to internal clients. This role collaborates closely with Technology executives to ensure compliance with organizational standards and fosters strong, productive relationships with key suppliers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee strategic Technology Labor vendor management programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and facilitate Executive Level Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) in partnership with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive performance and strategic alignment.
  • Provide expert counsel on Statement of Work (SOW) development, focusing on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure accountability and excellence.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive dashboard view of vendor KPIs and SLAs to provide clear visibility and actionable insights.
  • Plan and execute all aspects of the annual Technology Supplier Day, ensuring high engagement from the Technology Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Track and coordinate the timely payment of supplier volume rebates, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Administer, analyze, and implement action plans based on quarterly supplier feedback surveys to enhance vendor performance and satisfaction.
  • Maintain an updated supplier database with key contact information and escalation paths. Serve as a primary resource for issue resolution with technology vendors at all levels.
  • Innovate and execute advanced methodologies for measuring and holding service vendors accountable to contract terms, including leveraging AI tools.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify industry trends and recommend improvements to processes and procedures that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Present analyses and strategic recommendations to senior management and the Technology Executive Leadership Team, as well as vendor partners, as required.
Qualifications
  • Procurement or vendor management experience strongly preferred
  • Expert-level ability in managing multiple complex initiatives at one time.
  • Deep understanding of technology operations, objectives, and strategic frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with suppliers and stakeholders, particularly at the executive level.
  • Proven ability to achieve objectives through influence, collaboration, and relationship-building.
  • Strong decision-making, judgment, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to senior audiences.
  • Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to include project management work.
