The Senior Director, Alignment will join the Office of COO Strategy Delivery team, reporting dually to the Head of Strategic Delivery and GRS COO. This role will be specifically focused on supporting the GRS (Global Risk Solutions) COO on strategic and execution accountabilities and ensuring business alignment across our Operations teams.

The successful candidate is a leader energized by a fast-paced, globally connected environment and the opportunity to continue to shape both our strategic and execution work in the GRS Office of COO, especially with our Leadership Team and Business Alignment Lead communities. Effective verbal and written communications with colleagues across teams and all levels of GRS including senior executives is critical in this role.

Demonstrated experience and insight in guiding others through change is vital for this position. Success requires the ability to influence effectively, exhibiting energy, diplomacy, and courage while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. We are looking for thought leadership in considering trade-off in complex business and organizational situations to come through with creative and practical solutions. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated capability of thriving through ambiguity and collaborating with others to bring clarity to our work and outcomes aligned to GRS goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners directly with the GRS COO in strategic and execution accountabilities and ensuring alignment across Operational, GRS, and Enterprise teams
  • Plans, executes, and improves the GRS Office of COO Leadership Team and COO-wide operating rhythms including close partnership with Talent, Finance, Technology, and enterprise to support and drive strategic outcomes
  • Leads the GRS Office of COO Business Alignment community in driving productivity and collaboration with the run-the-business collaborative work (e.g., goal development, quarterly scorecards, etc.)
  • Accountable for Office of COO wide engagement activities through collaboration with our Communications Consultant and in support of One GRS messaging and culture
  • Cultivates strong, positive, collaborative relationships and acts as a trusted strategic advisor with leaders across the Office of COO, GRS and the enterprise
  • Contributes to recommendations for continuous improvement and function opportunities including individual and team development and skill building
  • Is an active and engaged member of the Office of COO extended leadership team (XLT)
  • Occasionally participates in meetings outside of typical work hours (e.g., 6:00am to 10:00pm locally) for collaborations across global regions
Preparation, Training, & Experience
  • Experience in developing and executing operating systems that align and focus executive leadership teams to drive outcomes including logistics, engagement, and development
  • Direct people leadership including specifically with building teams and leading others through change
  • Strategic mindset and ability to work cross functionally at a fast pace
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic initiatives and organizational change, influencing without authority across a wide range of groups
  • Strong business acumen and ability to participate in strategic business discussions with executives
  • Excellent communication skills- written and verbal, utilizing the appropriate medium to align, influence, and drive clarity in ownership of key work; fluent in executive materials in various forms to convey complex strategic and execution plans.
  • Quantitative skills with the ability to define and measure success of key initiatives against overall goals and align outcomes with enterprise and business unit goals

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
