Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics
Description
The Workforce Planning (WFP) organization in USRM Claims & Service Insights and Solutions provides strategic analysis and support to the Claims & Service organization. WFP delivers recommendations that span long-term claims and call volume forecasts, staffing and hiring needs, and partner strategy, all the way to day-to-day management of our internal and external resources. As a Sr Analyst on the Claims Capacity Planning team, you will perform business research that's designed to improve business processes and support decisions that contribute to the growth of profitable business.
Responsibilities:
- With direction, builds projects, queries, and data solutions in accordance with best practices to maximize performance and cost efficiency of our analytics tools
- Analyze key metrics and drivers influencing results, ensuring underlying analytical accuracy and appropriateness of data, including usage of Capacity & Forecasting (C&F) approved standard data queries where possible, and recommending enhancements as appropriate.
- Create and update views/templates/reports to provide stakeholders and business partners with transparency into inputs, processes, and drivers of all routine outputs.
- Collaborate effectively with partners to solve problems, including participation in solutioning, identifying potential adverse outcomes, and enhancing transparency of existing analyses
- While partnering with Line of Business stakeholders and Leaders, effectively communicate updates on progress, roadblocks/barriers, project status, etc. to all stakeholders of all project and standard work to enable confidence in WFP/C&F performance.
- Resolves problems as needed to ensure that customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies.
- Meets with supervisor to discuss project status and present recommendations performs special projects as requested

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
- Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
- Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, Emblem).
- Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
