The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Join our Property Claims Analytics team within US Retail Markets as a Senior Analyst and play a crucial role in empowering Field and Process leaders with actionable insights! Our mission is to drive transformative improvements in business performance by leveraging innovative data capabilities and streamlined analyses. As part of our dynamic team, you will help highlight performance trends, enhance vertical enablement, and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Property Claims organization.

We are looking for candidates who are:
  • Good Communicators: Capable of breaking down complex issues into clear, understandable parts and tailoring messages to various audiences.
  • Analytical Problem Solvers and Storytellers: Capable of breaking down problems, identifying root causes, and crafting compelling narratives from data insights.
  • Technically Proficient: Understand data structures and sources, maintain data quality and accuracy, and use tools like SAS, SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and Excel effectively.
  • Business Aware: Possess requisite knowledge of the insurance industry and can connect their work to larger business goals through strategic thinking.
  • Collaborative Team Players: Engage actively with stakeholders, seek and incorporate feedback, and maintain open communication channels throughout projects.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity: Embrace new and unfamiliar business problems with confidence and adaptability.

Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Accuracy & Quality Transformation: Develop measures that enhance accuracy and enable Field, Process, and Operations leaders to identify issues early in the claim lifecycle using both quantitative and qualitative data sources.
  • Vertical Enablement: Generate and prioritize Vertical-level insights that are easily accessible, allowing Field leaders to understand operational trends at a glance and drive positive actions.
  • Operating Model Support: Support the transformation of our Operating Model by creating visibility into performance, informing skill progression, and addressing organizational challenges to ensure successful implementation and sustainability.
  • Operational Insights: Develop insights that highlight business performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements while establishing metrics and targets to drive accuracy, customer experience, and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
  • Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.
