Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to join the Operations Transformation team in the Engineering and Technology Operations (ETO) organization in GRS. You will lead our multi-phase Engineering Excellence transformation within the ETO organization. In this pivotal role, you will shape and scale our foundational Engineering Excellence training cohorts, drive the integration of Generative AI into all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, and set the strategic direction for tools and enablers that empower our engineering teams. You will champion the adoption of industry best practices, such as AI-augmented code generation, automated testing, documentation, and intelligent deployment, while advancing measurable improvements in quality and productivity. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will build governance frameworks, accelerators, and learning programs that enable rapid, sustainable change. We are looking for a visionary, hands-on leader with proven expertise in modern SDLC, AI/ML in engineering, and a strong focus on business value and team enablement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the voice of the customer (internal engineering teams and external developers).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision and roadmap. Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelors' degree in relevant field (business, computer science, humanities etc
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that development efforts are aligned with the product vision. Provide clear and actionable requirements, and lead key ceremonies to ensure that products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Act as a technical leader within the organization, provide guidance and mentorship to engineering and Tech Operations teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and incorporate this knowledge into the product development process.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to adopt new tools and methodologies that enhance productivity and quality.
  • Ensure that API products are designed and built as seamless and scalable solutions with clear outcomes and measurable and transparent KPIS.
  • Advocate for the customer (technology teams), ensuring that our products meet the needs and organizational priorities.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Technical background, with a solid understanding of software development and infrastructure.
  • SAFe, SDLC, DevOps, or related trainings/certifications a plus
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in relevant field (business, computer science, humanities etc.), 7 years in business, technology, or consulting with 5 to 7 years direct experience with agile teams
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Proven expertise in modern SDLC, AI/ML in engineering, and a strong focus on business value and team enablement
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence across multiple organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated experience leading varied audiences through the development of complex ideas, issues and designs
  • Ability to lead varied audiences through census building
  • Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty and exploit market opportunities

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
