Liberty Mutual has an immediate opening for a Workers Compensation (WC) Loss Recovery Claims Team Manager. In this role, you will lead a team a team of WC Loss Recovery Specialists who manage a portfolio of subrogation claims to achieve the best possible outcomes and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will contribute to the organization's success by developing talented employees, creating a work environment where employees feel appreciated, and exploring opportunities to continuously improve and adapt to a changing environment.
***This position may have in-office requirements and other travel needs depending on candidate location. you will be required to go into the office twice a month if you reside within 50 miles of a Liberty Mutual office. Otherwise, this is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business strategies and operating objectives including, meeting or exceeding recovery objectives, creating a business and financial plan and introducing new protocols.
- Develop, manage and directs staff to ensure the delivery of loss recovery services and products.
- Establish work standards, best practices, and maintain relationships with customers.
- Act as a technical expert and resource for staff, which includes usually maintaining the highest level of authority within department. Refer problems and issues out of authority level to Manger if needed. Will assist claims managers and other departments with new business and renewal presentations and periodic service calls.
- Ensure appropriate compliance with all legislation, state specific laws, corporate policies, and programs
- Develop training tools and presentations for both loss recovery staff and branch offices.
- Responsible for building and maintain internal and external relationships. Serves as a primary point of contact for agents, brokers, and policyholders
- Leads and actively contributes to a culture of continuous improvement and ensures utilization of tools and behaviors to foster critical thinking and innovation around problem solving and development of standard work.
- Uses common reporting of data analytics to monitor claim production, inventory management, financial and quality compliance and claim volume trends and results to communicate team performance.

- Workers Compensation Subrogation technical knowledge/skills required.
- College degree or equivalent plus 7-10 years of relevant and progressively more responsible work experience required.
- Advanced insurance related designations preferred.
- Ability to develop, manage and direct a unit operation and to effectively communicate operational procedures to unit staff.
- Demonstrated leadership and innovation in achieving results.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and a commitment to success.
- Advanced knowledge of principles pertaining to Workers Compensation and Liability .
