Financial Analyst, Product Transformation
Description
The One Global Ledger (OneGL) Program is a large and complex finance system transformation program that is focused on the delivery of a global solution for the Liberty Mutual Finance organization. The OneGL landscape will be focused on the implementation of the SAP application suite as the core Finance and Treasury system. The SAP modules will include the General Ledger, Financial Products Subledger (FPSL), Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM), Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Reporting.
The OneGL International Delivery team is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst who has a financial background, a strong accounts payable and indirect tax knowledge base, and a proven ability to apply analytical insight in an innovative and quickly evolving environment. This role will be leading our Procure to Pay (P2P) Accounts Payable & Indirect Tax workstream, helping to solution for both management and regulatory needs with our target state financial systems (OneGL). The individual will be responsible for performing research and analysis from both a financial and system perspective in collaboration with various internal and external business partners. This role will also collaborate with Global Finance Technology and oversee requirements, design, and testing as we integrate data from local source systems to SAP and work with the OneGL Process Leads on more complex tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to understand and document accounts payable and indirect tax requirements in partnership with local operations. Ensures alignment on dependencies with other workstreams, e.g. Treasury, Security & Controls, General Ledger, Reporting, or related integrations.
- Lead and perform various financial analysis and research tasks to support OneGL SAP S4 Hana process transformation.
- Collaborates to create product vision and alignment with strategic priorities. Contributes to the development of the portfolio vision.
- Works daily with the agile working group, clarifying business requirements, constantly communicating, and supporting alignment around product strategy.
- Operates as a subject matter expert with in-depth understanding of our SAP Product suite and the business capabilities they deliver.
- Works closely with the P2P OneGL production team to collaborate, align, and deliver global capabilities.
- Prepare test cases and execute; support the onboarding of end users, through training, to our user acceptance testing phase.
- Help define the business use cases with input from stakeholders.
- Bachelor`s degree required; CPA or Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial analyst and/or finance project/program management
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable and/or Indirect Tax preferred
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions while achieving results
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to promote discussion while fostering collaboration within the team and with other areas of the organization
- Effectively negotiates project direction and communicates to a variety of audiences and levels of the organization to ensure alignment with project goals and schedules
- Ability to lead meetings and make presentations to increasingly large audiences
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results
Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
