What you're applying for
Lemonade is seeking an experienced frontend developer with WordPress knowledge who is passionate about designing and building best-in-class user experiences.
You'll play a central role in a product development team, leading advanced projects, building complex components, sounding your opinion on new frontend technologies, and working with other developers to build the best products for our customers. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and content writers to build and maintain our growing and diverse portfolio of WordPress sites.
The responsibilities include: theme and plugin development, front-end / back-end development, and operational setup.
In this role you'll
- Develop sharable, accessible, and performant UI components, and integrate them into Lemonade applications
- Build user-facing pages that are meant to run on evergreen browsers
- Collaborate with multiple members of a self-sustainable development team
- Work with designers and animators to create delightful and engaging experiences
- Contribute to the frontend platform infrastructure, enabling a better developer experience across the company
What you'll need
- 3+ years experience working as a WordPress developer
- A proven experience in developing plugins or themes in WP is a must
- Experience in developing websites / apps using WP rest api is a big advantage
- Advanced knowledge of Javascript and CSS
- Experience working with React
- Experience working with NextJS is an advantage
- Experience with Git and code versioning tools
