Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to support the planning, coordination, and execution of material movement from receipt to production. This position is responsible for day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory control, material handling, shipping and receiving, and coordination with other departments to meet production and scheduling requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage the flow of materials from warehouse receipt to production.
  • Develop raw material and scheduling requirements based on engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to coordinate timely material movement.
  • Perform daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and staging of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and apply appropriate min/max inventory levels.
  • Update and manage inventory data in the warehouse management system or relevant database.
  • Conduct and support annual physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks and other vehicles during shipping and receiving operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or production planning.
  • Working knowledge of material movement, inventory control, and production scheduling processes.
  • Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and materials management systems.
  • Experience with warehousing operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and production schedules to determine material needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking material flow and maintaining records.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision and solve moderately complex material planning challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or vocational training in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Knowledge of material selection for production based on performance, cost, and application.
  • Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment with high material throughput.
  • Exposure to lean inventory or just-in-time (JIT) methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements in material planning or warehousing.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00
