The FAA Account Manager must have extensive career experience and recognized credentials supporting FAA missions and operations, along with a network with current DOT and FAA leadership and strong relationship building skills. The candidate must be able to exchange information and ideas with influencers and decision makers supporting strategy, plans and programs.

The FAA Account Manager is responsible for creating the account plan in alignment with the customer's strategy, leading and coordinating customer engagement and driving innovation. The candidate will participate in the identification and development of new opportunities and drive the win strategy for strategic captures. The position is responsible for marketing the full range of corporate capabilities and maximizing external and internal collaboration. The candidate will be expected to continue to build the Leidos reputation and grow our presence within the DOT and FAA.
The FAA Account Manager will work with senior Leidos staff to conduct customer engagements, manage discretionary investment funds, support marketing communications, and guide technology development in support of the account plan. Additionally, this candidate will partner with the other business leaders and collaborate with a team of business development professionals, including capture managers, BD leads and BD analysts, to achieve the business' long-term business development goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strengthen and maintain customer engagement with mid- and senior-level leaders across the FAA customer space.
- Conduct strategic planning by providing insights as to the evolution of and changes in the customer missions, mission approaches, and funding profiles.
- Apply expertise to blend technology and mission software innovations as key element of our strategies
- Develop customer specific account goals. Responsible for achieving business metrics that drive pipeline and portfolio growth
- Work collaboratively across Leidos to coordinate a unified Leidos message to the customer while promoting corporate capabilities and solutions to meet customer needs. Support business development and capture teams from across Leidos to strengthen win strategies
- Provide input to proposal, pricing, and solution strategy based on customer familiarity.
- Develop strategic partnerships with industry leaders, driving innovation and new business opportunities.
- Coordinate meetings with industry members to develop market insight on acquisition strategy, timing and contract vehicles.
- Contribute to Leidos-developed competitive intelligence reports by providing insights, assessments and recommendations on customer, partner and competitor activities, intentions and trends.
- Conduct customer assessments on contract/task performance and provide feedback to the line organizations from across Leidos
- Interact routinely with various levels of management, functional leads, other staff, and customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred in related technical or health field, and related experience, including 15+ years of prior relevant experience or master's degree with 13+ years of prior experience.
- Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Current relationships and expertise at FAA.
- Must possess extensive understanding of Government customers, doctrine, concepts, and requirements.
- Baseline understanding of mission software development and delivery
- Demonstrated access to key government customers and industry partners
- Experience with federal government budget, investments and acquisition processes
- Demonstrated ability to develop new ideas and quickly apply ideas to help direct solution development for specific problems to support quantitative top line growth numbers.
- Proven ability to work in a complex, multi-faceted organization with a wide range of customer offerings. Ability to develop and sustain customer relationships at all requisite levels. Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to communicate at multiple levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Candidates must be US Citizens and be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven track record of successful account management at a variety of acquisition sizes.
- Self-starter and ability to manage time independently without direct supervision
- The ability to operate at the senior level and influence, negotiate and close

Pay Range:
Pay Range $216,800.00 - $348,750.00
