Description

The Digital Modernization Sector has an opening for a Technical Project Manager to work in Woodlawn, MD.

This position requires onsite work in Woodlawn, MD five days a week.

The Technical Manager must have a background in successfully collaborating with a variety of customers and customer stakeholders. The candidate must provide leadership to invigorate innovation and learning within their team. The candidate must be willing to drive smart changes to change the culture to one that is collaborative and innovative to provide our customers with optimal solutions that meet their strategic goals.

The candidate will be responsible for meeting or exceeding customer expectations. The candidate will be expected to collaborate closely with functional business areas (HR, contracts, subcontracts, Business Operations, Quality Assurance and Program Execution) and be responsible for meeting all business area goals and objectives. The candidate will be expected to provide oversight for all day-to-day operations of the program. In doing so, the candidate must be well organized and collaborate with the Technical Program Manager, Director of Operations, and other Technical Leads to ensure the program achieves desired outcomes.

Education & Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • 7 years of experience as an IT Technical Project Manager developing and implementing Project Management Plans.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and related management tools (Confluence, Jira, Kanban, etc.)
  • Adept knowledge in developing project management artifacts.
  • Experience with projects related to infrastructure deployments, Data Center services planning and implementation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Work ethic and willingness to work cross functionally to complete assigned tasks.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead tasks related to researching project-related issues and challenges.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Project management certification.
  • Experience with management tools (Confluence, Jira, Kanban, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud Services, IT Service Management tools, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity implementations.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
