Leidos has a current job opportunity for an Application Engineering Technical Lead on the DISA GSM-O II Program supporting JIATF-S Technology and Innovation Directorate (J7) in Key West, FL. The J7 Technology and innovation Directorate new and innovative capabilities to enable detection & monitoring operations in support of the JIATF-S mission. The Innovation & Technology Directorate leverages innovation in the information environment to enhance National to Tactical effectiveness and efficiency through emerging technologies and repurposing/improving existing capabilities. The Technical Lead will be the interface between the Government leadership and technical team to drive innovation and efficiencies across the program. The technical lead will support the Program Management team with schedule, quality risk, and costs where necessary. The technical lead must support, provide leadership, and have the interpersonal communication skills necessary to inspire and lead a complex and high-paced environment.

  • Perform duties under the strategic and operational vision of the Program Manager
  • Responsible for technical,
  • Manage projects and schedules to coordinate contractor activities in accordance with the PWS
  • Support the Management team with the administrative, contractual, financial, and personnel aspects of the contract
  • Work closely with third parties (e.g. other Federal entities and other contractors,) to facilitate integrated mission support
  • Present regular executive briefings to the government on services provided on the contract (verbal and written)
  • Apprise Government stakeholders on productivity and quality assurance
  • Ensure that all work on the contract complies with the contract terms and conditions and is approved/coordinated with senior corporate managers
  • Responsible for making sure the program staff is technically qualified in accordance to PWS requirements
  • Supports delivery of CDRLs
  • Coordinates with government customer, understands customer's technical needs
  • Proactively identified and mitigates risks; identifies and capitalizes on opportunities
  • Establishes and maintains an inclusive work environment consistent with Leidos values and ethics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start.
  • BS Degree and 8 years experience; OR 12 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 or more years of IT program management or leadership experience in DoD environment
  • Prior experience with Systems and application engineering and Application development programs
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in planning, directing, and managing a team and related projects/operations
  • Demonstrates experience with researching and fielding new and innovative technologies
  • Demonstrates experience in procurement of IT hardware and software
  • Effectively work with a team establishing, strong, collaborative working relationships with government customers, technical staff, and senior managers
  • Strong follow through skills.
  • Software engineering and development experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, ReactJS, C# and CSS, HTML/XHTML, Loopback
  • Experience with Rest APIs,JSON, SOAP, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Code repositories, (i.e. GIT/SVN) and databases (Postgre SQL)
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience setting up and working with virtual environments, (VBOX, VM, Oracle)
  • Experience with Windows, Solaris/Linux OS (scripting, command line)
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with the use of debuggers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with and troubleshooting Mission Critical applications in an Operations environment
  • Experience with AI/ML development
  • Experience with SAFe Agile of other Agile SW development methodologies
  • Experience with Subversion/JIRA
  • Experience working in Cloud architecture and/or application transitions to the Cloud

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
