Description

The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos is seeking a Systems Hardware Developer II in the Long Beach, MS facility to support logistics, logistics planning and support in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting the Defense Enclave Services contract with assembly, configuration, and testing related to electronic devices. This position will also perform quality control functions, write work instructions and support the logistics team.

Duties may include research, evaluation, development, and application of new processes and methods into products. Works from documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, diagrams and plans often requiring interpretation and application of knowledge and practical understanding of electronic theory and principles. May be responsible for establishing and conducting testing routines, and documentation of work and results. Support level duties may include activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of devices or equipment.

  • Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure that system reliability and performance
  • Configuration of hardware assets
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues
  • Work with offsite engineers to resolve hardware / IT problems
  • Schedule flow of hardware through receiving, configuration, and shipment
  • Participate in team meetings to understand and support project planning and deadlines
  • Receive material into the warehouse
  • Perform inspections on incoming deliveries
  • Receive material into the inventory control system (ServiceNow)
  • Receive program requests for shipments of equipment internally and externally
  • Support material movement in warehouse to support program requests
  • Maintain clearly organized warehouse spaces and controlled inventory cages
  • Prepare shipments for delivery and organize/schedule trucks
  • Update and following documented procedures for receiving and shipping.
  • Creating shipping documents and packaging material for shipment.
  • Perform logistics support for the team to perform equipment configuration.
  • Completing DD1149's and all material transfer documents.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires BS degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or master with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment and personal computer software packages to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks.
  • Work well with all levels of internal and customer management and staff is essential.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance, US CItizenship required.

Preferred Experience

  • DoD or Military experience
  • Experience with C#, Python, SQL, BASH scripting, PowerShell

Pay Range:

Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
