The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking a Systems Architect to join a new program opportunity and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You could be part of a program that oversees management of systems infrastructures, implementing best practices to identify and recommend system functional specifications, configuration of physical and virtual systems, backup and recovery of IT infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
The System Architect plays a critical role in managing and support enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of physical and virtual systems, as well as implementing best practices for system functionality, reliability, and security. The successful candidate will work independently to manage critical system components and lead initiatives involving system design, performance tuning, patch implementation, and disaster recovery planning. In addition to supporting system health and availability, this position will play a key role in identifying technical requirements and recommending improvements that enhance infrastructure performance.

Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 4-8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of systems and related hardware.
- Proven ability to monitor and tune system performance, including storage allocation and system optimization.
- Experience implementing critical patches and updates to ensure system stability and security.
- Ability to analyze system performance logs, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong understanding of system-level troubleshooting, operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows), and enterprise hardware platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environments, including server administration and system deployment.
- Experience administering Active Directory (AD) to manage user accounts, permissions, and network access controls.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for task automation and system management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot system issues, analyze performance logs, and implement resolutions.
- Working knowledge of system administration, configuration, and support best practices, including patching and performance tuning.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize infrastructure performance.
- Familiarity with basic security management practices to maintain the integrity and protection of systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, VMware VCP, or similar.
- Advanced scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation across hybrid environments.
- Experience implementing or supporting enterprise security policies, including access controls, patch management, and system hardening.
- Background in systems engineering, including lifecycle planning, integration, and performance optimization of complex environments.
- Experience in virtualized and hybrid cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS) to support scalable system deployment.
- Familiarity with systems support workflows, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and user-facing troubleshooting.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
