Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer who is responsible for design, development and providing input into the facilities electrical operations and maintenance functions at the HQS site. This role ensures that all facility electrical systems operate efficiently and effectively, and that maintenance policies and procedures are implemented to support site operations. The Electrical Engineer will provide technical guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, capital improvement recommendations, create and review electrical design drawings and one line diagrams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Research, design, detail and support installation of facility Electrical systems.
- Coordinates with O&M and Plant teams to ensure emergency preparedness of the facility.
- Collaborates with O&M teams, ensuring timely and effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Contribute to infrastructure planning by conducting studies, analyzing current conditions and future requirements, recommending capital improvements, and gathering and analyzing data.
- Oversees electrical aspects of construction and renovation projects from design through completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Develops, interprets, and implements facility maintenance policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Develop and update design standards and site-specific operating procedures in order to establish common practices.
- Creates and reviews electrical design documentation and submittals.
- Makes redline updates to site drawings.
- Creates and updates electrical one line diagrams.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- 8 - 12 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in the design, development, and testing of complex electrical systems.
- Experience in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical design principles and practices in commercial applications including regulations for electrical systems, e.g. National Electrical Code.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD.
- Understanding of energy efficiency and sustainable design practices.
- Experience supporting medium voltage power distribution, backup generators, data centers, UPS systems, and lighting control systems.
- Ability to resolve highly complex, multi-disciplinary technical problems across electrical systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and customer on technical solutions, project requirements, goals, and design.
- Experience with industrial control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Recognized subject matter expert (SME).
- PE (Professional Engineer) certification
- Experience with electrical construction, systems integration, and testing in field environments.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Experience with reactive maintenance for building electrical systems.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
