Step into a critical position on the front lines of national security. As the Special Access Program (SAP) Area Security Manager, you'll safeguard cutting-edge intelligence operations that directly empower the Air Force's ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) mission. You're not just managing security-you're enabling real-time, mission-critical decision-making that protects lives and national interests.
What You'll Dive Into
- Own SAP Security End-to-End Lead daily physical and information security for top-secret facilities. From risk assessments to incident response, you shape a fortress around our most sensitive programs.
- Train and Empower Teams Develop annual training curriculums, coach wing- and squadron-level security leads, and keep every stakeholder up to speed on evolving threats and policies.
- Drive Inspections & Compliance Conduct self-inspections, spearhead biennial Wing IG audits, and collaborate with OSI, DCO, and OPSEC officers to ensure we always exceed standards.
- Strategize Threat Mitigation Partner with Advanced Programs ISSM, GSSO, and facility owners to identify vulnerabilities, craft countermeasures, and maintain an ironclad security posture.
- Be the Go-To Security Authority Offer guidance to TSCOs, TSCAs, and security assistants. When security incidents strike, you'll orchestrate the response-reporting, tracking, investigating, and preventing repeat events.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree + 4 years relevant experience. Additional years of experience , advanced degrees or advanced certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active TS/SCI clearance (must be eligible for SAP)
- 3+ years hands-on SAP security experience
- Security+ certification and willingness to polygraph
- Capability to quickly obtain/maintain SAP access
- U.S. Passport (current or obtainable)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to translate complex security concepts into clear, compelling guidance.
- Familiarity with AF DCGS operations

Pay Range:
Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00
