Description
The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Software Tester. The program delivers a comprehensive integrated mission control software tool combining custom code and integrated COTS products for a Department of Homeland Security customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor CI/CD pipelines, test results, and system logs to identify issues, regressions, and performance bottlenecks early in the development process.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce unintended side effects or break existing functionality.
- Test Execution and Reporting: Execute manual tests, record test results, and generate test reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and drive decision-making.
- Defect Management: Identify, report, and prioritize software defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.
- Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to the improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and test coverage.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document and configuration manage test cases, procedures, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team through documentation, training sessions, and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of prior relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Software Testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience using Atlassian collaboration tools, such as JIRA, Confluence
- Basic shell scripting knowledge

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
